Dr. Nicolaus Roltsch

Dr Nicolaus Roltsch was born in Hamburg and has been a partner since 1984.

For many years Dr Roltsch’s activities have focused on providing legal assistance to proprietor-managed enterprises, which he advises and represents in terms of business law on a permanent basis. Apart from company law and the law of contract including proceedings in accordance with the Conditions of Business of the Waren-Verein der Hamburger Börse e.V., matters relating to the protection of industrial property rights, to employment law as well as customs law including tariff provisions and antidumping duties are predominant in this connection.

His studies at the University of Hamburg and the First State Examination in Law were followed by a period as a trainee lawyer/trainee judicial officer, including several months of work in a big law firm specializing in business law in the USA and for the Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg. Following the Second State Examination in Law and a PhD on an aspect of insurance law (“The Liability Insurance of Road Carriers”) Dr Roltsch was admitted to practise law in 1982.

Dr Roltsch is a keen hockey and tennis player and the vice-president of the Hamburger Hockeyverband e.V.
