Experienced and pragmatic

As a commercial law firm, we advise companies and entrepreneurs and often support them for many years through all the ups and downs of entrepreneurial life over decades. We have a special focus on companies in the real estate property sector. Companies and entrepreneurs particularly also trust us in the areas of corporate and labour law. Consistency, appreciation and trust are very important to us. This applies both to our clients and to our law firm team. We are convinced that these values are not only the necessary basis for successful co-operation, but that they can also make the difference between good and very good work.
Our law firm was founded in Hamburg in 1849. In these 175 years, we have gained an excellent reputation beyond Hamburg – also internationally. Our namesake, the lawyer Dr. Kurt Mittelstein, had been a partner of the firm since 1919. For decades, he was one of Hamburg’s most respected lawyers and in 1973 was honoured with the Emil von Sauer Prize, donated by the Hamburger Anwaltsverein, as an outstanding personality who had rendered outstanding services to the Hamburg and German legal system.

Socially and sporty committed

Almost all of our lawyers are involved in sports and social activities in addition to their work. As a law firm, we jointly support the HAMBURG BEWEGT KIDS initiative, which is close to our hearts and gives children from challenging social backgrounds sustainable access to sport and exercise.
More exercise and sport for all children in Hamburg – regardless of where they grow up or go to school. The initiative is currently active in over 21 daycare centres and primary schools in the three Hamburg districts of Farmsen-Berne, Billstedt and Jenfeld and gets over 800 children moving every week!
