Matthias Dau

Matthias professional practice focuses on real estate law, corporate law and commercial law. He advises both domestic and international clients in his field of practice.
Matthias is regularly assisting his clients in real estate transactions. Besides, he is drafting and negotiating commercial lease agreements and is helping his clients in avoiding legal pitfalls when doing business in Germany.

Within the real estate sector, Matthias is having a particular focus on the hospitality industry, where he is advising both on hotel investments and on all matters of the daily operational hotel business.

Prior to joining our law firm in 2016, Matthias was a local partner of one of the largest German real estate law firms in Frankfurt, where he worked for nearly ten years.
He obtained his LL.M. at the University of Auckland (New Zealand) in 2004.
Matthias qualified as a lawyer in 2005. He is also qualified as “Specialist for Commercial and Corporate Law” (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht).
